Mountain biking on the mountains of Elba

Choosing the mountain bike to explore the territory of Elba means to leave behind the quiet panoramic roads of the coast to ride on dirt paths, old mines, cliffs and steep trails. The island is a true paradise for mountain biking lovers, where technique and fun come together with aromas and suggestive landscapes of rare beauty. There are itineraries suitable for every training level: expert, beginners and even families.

The ones who are simply looking for an adventure in the mediterranean nature of Elba can concentrate on the paths included in the Capoliveri Bike Park and in the Mineral Park. This latter location is particularly striking and really unique. It permits to the bikers to ride on reddish sands and dirt paths sparkling of small metal scraps.

No afraid even in case of failures or necessities of reparations, the islanders of Elba have a strong bike culture and in every town there is at least one mechanical workshop for mountain bike. The best ones are located in Portoferraio, Capoliveri and Marina di Campo.
